- Short-term use for bleeding or risk of bleeding in cases of increased fibrinolysis or fibrinogenolysis. Local fibrinolysis occurs in the following cases:
- Prostatectomy and bladder surgery.
- Menorrhagia.
- Severe epistaxis (nosebleeds).
- Conization of the uterine cervix.
- Prevention of recurrent bleeding in traumatic hyphema.
- Hereditary angioedema.
- Management of dental extraction in hemophiliacs.
